Cross between Gamay and Reichensteiner.
Smooth and rich straight from the bottle, with a ruby colour. The bouquet contains hints of ripe plums and figs, rounded off by a finish of liquorice and cocoa.
The ageing in oak barrels make this wine richer, more punchy and full-bodied, while nevertheless maintaining smooth, rich tannins, which linger in the mouth and are a delight to savour.
